Quadrant Analysis usually used in brand performance analyses, customer and employee satisfaction surveys, loyalty segmentations and etc. The metrics are very helpful in analyzing gaps between expectations and actual behavior and in identification of potential areas of improvement.

The following example of brand performance metrics indicates Price and Environmental issues are potential areas for improvement.

The following example of consumer purchase behavior shows that convenient location and gift with purchase are driving the purchase behavior while stated importance of the variable is relatively low. At the same time quality, stated as very important, does not have significant influence on the actual purchase.
